S. Thomas Sierak

S. Thomas Sierak is a native New Englander whose finely detailed pastel painting are bringing him national recognition. A graduate of the Vesper George School of Art in Boston, Tom's strong desire for drawing led him to pastels. He says "I've worked in most other mediums, but pastels are my preference because they allow me to draw my paintings whereas most other color mediums do not. For me it's a perfect combination." He particularly enjoys portraying people in everyday situations, striving to convey a warmth and emotion that viewers can easily relate to.

His paintings appear on the cover of each issue of Reminisce Magazine,
a national publication with nostalgic theme. He is featured in April 1995 
issue of The Artist's Magazine and has done covers for a number of 
other publications.

His work is in many private and corporate collections nationwide. Art 
memberships include The Knickerbocker Artists USA, and the 
Board of Governors of the Connecticut Pastel Society.
