In August, 1862, General Robert. E. Lee marched with General James Longstreet to join Brigadier General Thomas J. Jackson at Bull Run ( also known as "The Second Battle of Manassas). This was the only time during the Civil War that all three of these great Confederate Generals fought together. Lee's bold and brilliant Second Battle of Manassas campaign opened the way for the South's first invasion of the North. It was at Bull Run that Jackson acquired his nickname "Stonewall" Published by Somerset House Publishing
