A new, exciting book featuring the works of artist G. Harvey will be available this fall. Published in both City Series and a Western Series, this definitive book on the artist will be the finest to date ad will be available in three different editions - the Medallion Edition, the Collector Edition and an open edition (available at a later date). The City and Western Series books differ in that the first eight pages feature only either city or western scenes. This exquisite volume measures 14 1/4" x 10 3/4" , contains 184 pages, more than 160 color plates, numerous working sketches by the artist and many representations of his sculpture. All editions will contain a complete listing of the artists reproductions through the year 2000.
The Medallion Edition, for the most discerning collector, features a taupe cowhide cover and a bronze medallion, which is embedded in the cover (as shown). It boasts imported French marble end papers, gold-leafed pages edges and two silken ribbon markers. The Medallion Edition - City Series is accompanied by a small Giclee on paper of Snowy Ride in Boston. A Giclee on paper of Long, Wet Day accompanies the Medallion Edition - Western Series. The book and Giclee have matching numbers and are not available separately.
The Collector Edition was designed for the devoted Harvey collector, and features a dark brown genuine cowhide, gold-leafed page edges and two silken ribbon markers. Each book is accompanied by a lithographic reproduction of either Rainy Day on Central Park South (16" x 20" with the City Series) or Spring in the Tetons (22 " x 16" with the Western Series). The book and print will bear matching numbers and are not available separately.
