  The Anderson Dock has long been a favorite subject for Charles Peterson.
The unique peer and barn structure has been the focal point of harbor
activity for nearly a century and a half. On a more personal level, it was there
that Charles first sold his paintings ("for $20 or so") nearly fifty years ago.

"I still walk down there often. Even in winter I stand and lookout
where my boat is moored in season and speculate on the great sailing
vessels that frequented this place, part of the commerce of another era.
The dock is like a familiar old friend to many of us -- aging, but still
showing a lot of life through all her cracks and wrinkles."

Aging perhaps, but certainly aging gracefully. And, I think you'll have to agree;
nothing dresses her up quite like an Early Snow At Ephraim.
