Pike Place ~ Public Market by G. Harvey Published by Somerset House Publishing
In 1907, with joyful rebellion, farmers from the Seattle area first gathered to create a market where they could sell fresh vegetables and flowers directly to the public. This was a victory for both the farmer and the family; they cooperated to create this exciting place where the hands that harvest the vegetable also offer it to you from the back of a wagon.
